I am playing too!

Memories... I have loved thinking about my favorite memories for everyone who is playing, here are the rules, cut and paste them if you are playing. 1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! 2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments

Outside fun and just outside

Amelia running around with no bottoms! Playing on the trampoline with a sprinkler underneath. A picture of our yard, it is coming along. It was so bright I couldn't see the photo and then didn't check it before uploading. Well after I looked at this photo I checked out my camera and little fingers had been all over the lense. These are some cool clouds taken from my bedroom window. This is just one of the awesome sky views I have seen since living here.

Blessing Pictures

Jasmin Simone Grow was blessed on July 17th. We decided to bless her on that day because my brother Levi and sister in law Naomi surprised us by coming to visit us this last week with there kids. Also we had (members of Taylor's Family) Great Grandma Lou and aunt LaDawna here to visit this week and since they were leaving Saturday we decided Thursday was the day. So in addition to those guests we had Nana and Papa and Aunt Cami who were already here and stayed until Tuesday (yesterday). For obvious reason I didn't keep my blog updated very well, as of the day of the blessing, including my family of six, we had 16 people staying at our house. Today my house feels like a mansion! The dress Amelia is wearing was made by my mother for me when I was a little girl. Just a reminder for those who don't know, this gorgeous blessing dress was made by Nana aka Shanna Parker aka Taylor's mom. She made it for Amelia's blessing (see picture below) and we decide to make it the blessing dress for all our girls.

Home birth

My sister Marie was featured in an article about home birth in the Sacramento news paper. One of the main focuses was the influence of the movie "The Business of Being Born" which was produced by Ricki Lake about her home birth experience. If you are interested in reading a little about home birth you can check out the article on her blog www.marieandmikelong.blogspot.com. There are a few things I do not agree with but I am a home birth advocate so obviously that would be so, but overall I think they did a pretty good job.

Beth Dies?

Do you remember the episode where Rachel finds a book in Joey's freezer? Well Rachel and Joey switch favorite books, "Little Women" and "The Shining" and Little Women ends up in the freezer at one point when Beth dies, which was very funny. Well last night I was reading a book my sweet sister-in-law loaned me and I got to one part only about three chapters into it and I flipped out, I have never been so scared while reading a book. Now I look back at it and it is pretty comical but I through the book at Taylor and verbalized my first thought, " PUT IN THE FREEZER" I demanded this of him and though he didn't put in the freezer, with much laughter from him he did eventually put in the drawer on his side of the bed (after reading what scared me so bad). Anyway, if anyone wants a fun scary book to read the author is Catherine Coulter they are FBI thrillers. Happy reading!

Jasmin Simone Grow

We did debate, J A S M I N or J A S M I N E, but because of the "e" in Simone we (I) decided without. Here are a few new pictures of baby Jasmin. We weighed her today at her one week check before my mom left and she weighed in at a mighty 8 pounds 10 ounces. So she has gained almost a pound! None of my children have had a problem gaining weight but this one to me is amazing. In this first picture my milk had not come in yet and you can see on her shirt that she has been spitting up colostrum (which is like the pre-milk), I have never had a baby be full on that stuff. Tuki, (grandma) and Jasmin. Tuki plays a huge roll in all of her grand baby's lives. She is mother or mother in law, midwife and grandma. I think we could re-name her super woman because she really can do it all.

Look at her toes, they are so long!
